Blue Bones is a fantastic and eclectic vintage shop. Great selection, great prices, and great people. They are currently changing locations so everything is online but keep a lookout for the first opportunity to visit in person!

Ledbury
Ledbury, hit twice in recent months with vandalism as well as loss of sales due to the Stay at Home order, still holds strong as a vital member of the RVA community. They are currently selling masks as well as their well-tailored men’s shirts.
Waller & Co. Jewelers
Hit hard by the recent vandalism on Broad St., the local store has been a family-owned business for four generations. Set up with a GoFunMe page, Waller & Co are trying to continue on. Do them and yourself a favor and go check them out.
Explore Treasures at the Poe Museum
The Poe Museum houses and displays the largest collection of Poe memorabilia in the world. The museum began in 1922, almost century ago, when a group of literary enthusiasts met in Poe’s hometown of Richmond, Virginia to create the state’s first monument to a writer. The Museum has enjoyed a history as unique as the author it honors.
Play time at The Children’s Museum
My son and I are really looking forward to exploring the fun at The Richmond Children’s Museum and The Chesterfield Children’s Museum.
Bands and Food Trucks at Hardywood
It becomes like a mini-reunion with friends I rarely see. On Summer nights, we grab food at whatever wonderful food trucks inhabit the parking lot, go in and listened to some amazing bands and catch up with old friends.
Drinks at Amuse and the Sculpture Garden at VMFA
What other restaurant can you have a delicious cocktail at the bar and then stroll right out the door onto a beautiful sculpture garden? When the weather is not cooperating? Stay indoors and tour the art of the VMFA.
Hollywood Cemetery
Hollywood Cemetery a beautiful historic cemetery. You do not need to be visiting a loved one there to find peace and tranquility in its beauty. The view of the James River is spectacular. Whether it’s for a tour, a picnic, or just a walk through the area, it is absolutely worth an afternoon of your time.
Shopping In Carytown
It’s always such a pleasure to go shopping in Carytown (even if it’s just window shopping). So many uniques shops for clothing, gifts, and treats.
Maymont
I know their beautiful outdoor spaces are currently open but I cannot wait to feed the farm animals and check out the otters at the Robins Nature Center.
Superskee at Slingshot
Skee ball is the only arcade game I ever really liked as a a kid. Now I can play Superskee at Slingshot and I feel like a kid again…who drinks beer from one of their many taps.
Mini-Golf at Hotel Greene
Mini-Golf at the very Wes Anderson-like Hotel Greene is so much fun. My friend and I share some fun cocktails before (and sometimes during) our game. The atmosphere is so quirky and cool. It’ll be one of my first visits when social distancing is over!
Richmond Metro Zoo
The Richmond Metro Zoo has grown by leaps and bounds over the last few years. My favorite thing to do is throw the veggie pellets over to the orangutan who will indicate with his hand when he wants you to throw more.
